Chapter 10 (Angel Falling Softly)

"Fast offerings" are collected in this fashion only in areas where the population density of Mormons makes the effort worth the effort. Otherwise, the contributions are mailed to or handed to the bishop or one of his two counselors. (The reason these kinds of details come up in Angel Falling Softly and The Path of Dreams is, well, because one writes about what one knows.)
